A few words on self image and discipline
A few days ago I watched a very cool YouTube video of a guy named Radu Antoniu. This is was not the everyday ‘get lean tips’ video, it was so much more than that.
I’ve been watching Radu for almost a year now and I was aware of his approach to fitness and his ‘philosophy’ (if I can call it that) for that matter, but this video really stood up from all the videos and just made perfect sense to me. In very few words, the summary of the video is that you can do pretty much anything you want if you set your mind right.
That’s no secret you might say, and I agree – this is no news for anybody – but the way he puts into words and into practice made me more aware of it and I just wanted to share that with you too.
Regardless of the situation or field – your career, personal life, fitness, dieting – most of the times, you know what you need to do in order to achieve your goals, you know what are the actions you need to take, but for some reason you don’t do it. You postpone it forever and eventually you find reasons to now take action.
If you want to get promoted or to get a raise you know that you need to achieve the business plan or you need to come up with an awesome presentation for the meeting with the big boss.
The same goes for fitness – you know how many calories to eat, you know the right macro setup and you know how to train correctly, but for some reason you can’t get to stick to your diet, you skip a few workouts here and there or you don’t put in all the effort that you could.
That’s where self image and discipline comes in. Here’s Radu’s video:
We are our own limitation. Enjoy and share and TAKE ACTION NOW!
All my shout outs go to Radu who filmed and edit this video while he was in hospital – that’s what I call dedication, right mid set and motivation.
